perhaps your idea of lovely is different to ours and if you have stayed there over 20 times perhaps you have nothing else to compare it to. For me, the hotel could have been anywhere in the world as it did not have a Balinese feel to it. No one said the beans were heinz, and as for being 'boston baked beans', really.... they were different every day. As well as 2 nights in a tropicasl terrace room, I spent 2 nights in a poolside cabana and believe me the towels were on the sun lounges for much longer than an hour, and from early morning, in fact some on the beach were there for nearly the whole day (I spent a day on the beach and got wind burn). I must admit though that comments such as these do influence other peoples decisions. I took notice of someones bad opinion of the Kind Villa Bintang Resort and so went to the Novotel, what a bad mistake. I looked over this hotel and will stay there next time. But in the long run it is each to his own and I for one will never go back to the Novotel.
