if you check the archives you'll find a few people on the forum have purchased from ebay, stayed at the resorts, sat through the presenation, said no and carried on with their holiday in said resort. You just have to be strongwilled and not get talked into it if it's not for you.
I have timeshare, purchased here in Australia, very cheaply, 10 years ago for $2,000.00. Still some can be purchased at this price and the choice to holiday wherever is yours, We have had our 10 years worth over and over. True we have to pay $80.00 to exchnage to get into Bali, true we pay maintenance fees here in Australia a bit higher than those that purchase timeshare in Bali (their initial purchase is a lot higher though), true we pay a minimal weekly fee when we stay at the Bali resort BUT we are talking 4-5 star hotel here and we could never have afforded that without using our timeshare.
It's not for everyone, you have to know how to use it correctly and het the most out of it that you can.
