..sorry to break your bubble mate, but Bali is not a 'Free Place', that is, not for the locals. For you, as a tourist, maybe, but the culture of the island itself has enough rules and restrictions to make your head swim and appreciate how free you actually are in the country you come from. Many of the new 'Freedoms' that are being taken by younger Balinese in the Kuta area are seen as signs of social and cultural breakdown by most of the Balinese. Have a great Holiday, man, no-one is begrudging you that; perhaps it's a good idea to maintain some perspective as well. Cheers and enjoy!!!
