For those who want to know the status of Dreamland Beach:

Can still get to the beach via the Pecatu Indah Resort.

A large parking area has now been designated.

Parking fees: motorbike rp5000/car rp10000/bus rp20000?

All beach warungs have been destroyed, just some rubble remains.

The way from the parking to the beach now passes directly under the cliff which holds the new hotel/disco whatever is going in there.

The walkway is a broad, curving concrete way that is elevated about 10 feet above ground.

Along the right side as you walk to the beach are a series of connected shops, 22 if I counted correctly.

I noticed two toilet facilities. One every 10 shops or so.

The shops look like a series of storage facilities or the linked shops you might find on poppies 2.

Looks like just a few are beginning business.. they are probably sorting it all out just yet.

At the end of the shops, just before you get to the beach is a large food warung, about 20 tables. I was there fairly early in the morning so it wasn't open, but all the tables and chairs are in place so it is probably operating.

Talked to a lifeguard, he said there would be no beach warung like before.

There are still a large number of beach lounge chairs, and umbrellas stacked up where the concrete meets the sand, so I think that business is continuing, and some locals are going old school and selling beverages from portable coolers.

The beach gets heavy visitor traffic in the form of large tour buses.

Somehow it seems to be a stop on every tour now.

The beach and waves are the same.
