the bali bird park is great to visit as well. It is a very modern and clean park and has plenty of birds from different countries on show. You can even hold the black cockatoos and toucan birds and get your photos taken with them. You could combine the zoo with the bird park and do both in one day easily!!
As for spending money, as Chris said it depends on what you are intending to buy. If its clothes and souviners then $50 or less a day would be heaps for you (if you like the copy surf stuff!!) more if you intend to buy the real thing.
