We stayed at the Dynasty in October when we took our 3 kids over, the only reason we chose the Dynasty was for the kid's club and pools/waterslide which was great. We did have a good holiday and the kids loved it but we were disappointed with the rooms which were quite tired looking. Having said all that we just got back from another wonderful Bali holiday yesterday, just the 2 of us this time and while we were there stopped in at the Dynasty as we had read that they were renovating the lobby and we wanted to have a look as I thought the lobby was OK and couldn't understand why they would renovate there when it was the rooms which needed more attention. What a Shock !!! They have gutted the first accomodation wing on the left as you walk up to the lobby, as well as the entire lobby. Entry to the hotel is only via the bridge over the ponds and into the ground floor level, (where the restraunt you eat breakfast is), and they have also ripped out the stairs and fountain that leads down from the lobby. No space for the night markets that they used to have on Friday nights all you see as you walk in is a boarded up construction area. Reception is now in a small room to the right of the lobby and you have to be careful as constuction debris flying everywhere as they used picks to hack away the concrete. At the airport on our flight home I was speaking with a lady who had just stayed there and she was devestated and quite angry about how bad an experience she and her family had had there. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth, hope that helps anyone else thinking of staying at the Dynasy. In short I wouldn't consider it until they have finished the Renos. Cheers
