things when you are driving at home why wouldn't you be able to do the same while driving in Bali? The traffic in Bali moves at a much slower pace than it would seem from the passenger seat and it is unusual to find yourself doing much more than 60km per hour. The other drivers are usually much more gracious than I'm used to in the city where I live so I find the experience of driving around Bali much less stressful than driving to work on a Monday morning. I also don't think that people do most of their sight seeing through the window of a vehicle.
