check out on google Bali Eats - that is a good first time guide.
The problem is where you are staying as said in posts is not the cheapest eats area.
You then have to pay for a taxi to Kuta, Legian which can add to overall cost - Im thinking around $80k.
Its your first time so stick to a couple of well known areas, like suggested you can check out during the day. Get a map and head for Jln Padma/Yudistira to start with just that St alone has:
. Indo National (good cocktails too)
. Wayan and friends
. Drops
. Posers on Corner
Then walk down Garlic Lane ( Sahedewa ) on left before beach
Lots of places in Garlic Lane
Come out of Garlic Lane and turn left ( away from Beach)
.
This street is Jln Melasti - heaps more. My favourite is Ketumbar.
Just an idea for one small area
