at check-in for Domestic Flights within Indonesia.
I flew Garuda Manado/Denpasar on 27 Feb and returned Denpasar/Manado yesterday - each time via Makassar. My bags had security seals around them at check-in at both ends. I also noted that this was carried-out in Makassar. It seems though that Garuda is the only Indonesian Carrier which does this.
It certainly gives one a good feeling of security as, should the seal be broken at baggage collection, the passenger needs to report immediately to Garuda representative.
This is certainly an easy and very effective deterrent to thieves operating within Airports between baggage check-in and loading onto aircraft.
