That is why we made the decision to stay elsewhere. Our children are not old enough to be on their own and we would have had to split ourselves between them.
Our thoughts were that we might not even have rooms anywhere near each other and we were not prepared to take the chance that rooms may not even become available at any time during our stay (as what happened to you).
