Hi
I do not consider my children old enough to even be in an adjoining room. We must have interconnecting, or failing that, I prefer that we all stay together in the one room. I just worry about their ability to deal with emergency (e.g. fire/power blackouts). I'm not preaching to anyone here each to their own in this respect.
On this occasion we are staying at the Melasti in a cottage suite room that will fit us in one section; with the children in a partitioned area. We are also staying at the Dynasty as they will guarantee interconnecting rooms.
I found the "Bali on any Budget" brochure handy to see what room types were available at the various properties, and then went from there and sent emails to the properties I was interested in. One brochure that I have since thrown out (may have been the Qantas one) acutally made mention of where properties guaranteed interconnecting rooms.
You may find it a little more difficult with four children but consider also the Kumala Pantai - I think they have a suite room that may accommodate your family.
Hope this is of some use.
