For Mark, my one trip to Bali was some years ago and we stayed at the Legian Beach. I was able to get a Mal there each day. Wasn't impressed with prices really but it was exercise and the surf was generally good. The bad thing is that they want full cost if you damage/break the board. I wasn't going to pay that as the boards did look quite worn and some had lots of filla in them. Overall I got a long board each day and enjoyed the surf. Will be there on Feb 25th and not taking a board this time either, apparently it is onshore on this side of the island during the wet season. May surf early morning if it is clean.
