loads of great hotels in Singa's but you not specified budget (see link). this is one i recommend due to location (in clarke quay) for a short stay, nice and easy with kids. Transport is never a problem in singa's. the MRT is cheap and so are taxis!!!. another hotel is the Swissotel with a large 4 story dept store attached or the Carlton down the road from it but you basically cant go wrong with most hotels if you dont stay in Little India etc. Singapore is the best place for first time travellers in that you can go the cheap eats like we do or do the normal aussie price equilvelants and feel safe either way. been there for work on very short trips quite a bit (over 20 times lucky me!!!) so love the place!
