Every day we deal with drivers, maybe up to 50 or more of them and there is NEVER one who doesn't want a 40% commission on entry fee and commissions on all sales - even a taxi hired just to come and then leave wants that commission. You simply don't know how Bali tourism works - try running a business there and not pay commissions like that. You should not read Rp200.000 as $200 but about $22 and even that is a real big bunch of flowers.
I post about the drivers when others post patronising them as poor defenceless people who they get a good feeling out of giving charity to. They are actually very good businessmen who generally do very well out of their clients and should be respected as that.
