We have stayed at the Besakih, and are booked in for August, the Hotel is very nice and quiet, but the best part are the staff, extremely friendly.
My wife likes to drag me along the beach for togetherness time.
We have done the bike trek twice, once just hiring bikes and organising transport, and the other one was an organised tour which was far more entertaining and a cultural experience, except the part where the better half fell in a rice paddy, and refused to get back on the bike, it was a long walk back to the van.
