Has anyone used their mobile phone to successfully send text messages straight up with out any changes to their service or carrier - specifically from Bali to the US? Also is there pretty good mobile reception in Ubud? Just wondering what will be the best way to keep in touch with my low-tech hubby who will be staying home in the states ... he is not computer savvy, so email will not be an option. Any advice will be helpful. Regards from sunny California where it is snowing, even on the Big Sur central coast!
