When I was in Bali a couple of months ago, I had a two month visa. As I was leaving Bali, one of the immigration staff asked me if I knew that with the 2 month Visa, if I want to stay longer I just go to a place outside the airport with a sponser and pay and I can get my Visa extended for another two months and I can do this 3 times, so maximum of 6 months without having to leave Bali. Is this true?? I am going back in a few weeks and need to stay until my Fiance's Visa goes through which will probably take more than two months. If anyone has heard of this, please let me know.
