hairdresser so maybe I can help.
Don't fight the waves go nice and natural, number one rule is only comb it when it is went, don't go near it with a comb or brush once it is dry!!
Shampoo and Condition you hair and towel dry it by squashing your hair in the towel, lean over or tip up your head so your hair is free and squeeze the water out in sections, DON'T rub it, then again squash hair product( gel or sculpting balm) through, don't comb it in not even with your fingers, just wipe it over the top and underneath then tip your head again and squash/scrunch. You should also use a leave in moisturiser, again wipe it on and scrunch it in.
Another thing that works well is wearing it in a pony tail or clip like I do, lazy hairdresser! LOL
Good luck
Deb
