A lot of English speaking people think "their" language is one that everyone should learn.
This trip I noticed a lot of tourists become quite angry when locals couldn't understand English. To the point of yelling or rolling their eyes and taking to them like idiots.
I found myself apologizing for my fellow countrymen. Embarrassing.
