accepted, but smiled upon! I would love to convey exactly those messages to the Balinese. It is so sad that they may have been led to believe that breastfeeding is in any way unacceptable. I know that the companies making a motza from formula have their ways, even without blatant advertising, but never would have thought of them sinking that low - those are quite disturbing assertions! Ibu Robyn also mentioned when I visited her some years ago that besides the prohibitive cost and chance of watering down formula, that keeping the bottles clean and sterilised is almost impossible in a typical Balinese kitchen & was in fact suspected as being the cause of a great deal of illness and even death in Balinese babies. Well, I shall proceed to breastfeed whenever my gorgeous boy needs a feed just as I do at home! Thanks for the info! Cheers, Sue.
