I (Mrs G) got Hep A last year and the symptoms presented themselves just after we got home. Nasty experience and all the family I had been in contact with during that time had to be tested and given immunoglobulin just in case except Mr G who was already immunised. I was in isolation in our room for about 1 week and was off work for about 1 month. It is a reportable disease and I had to liaise through the Health Dept etc. It did not put me off going to Bali but I made sure our 4yo got immunised for this last trip. I would not wish it on anyone. My liver has just calmed down recently.
