My son will be 17 months old and I really didn't want to use DEET on his skin if I could avoid it. Bummer to hear that MOOV wasn't really that effective but I'm not surprised, Rid and Autan are the only things that ever really work for me too.
I think we'll just spray his clothes with Rid and put the MOOV on his skin...if the mozzies are bad maybe do what one of you suggested and dab a few dots of Rid on him if we have to.
I'm getting some permethrin to treat his mozzie net and stroller net/ shade cloth and a couple of sheets for his cot, might do a few shirts as well...plus taking plug-in mozzie repellent for the room...hopefully that'll all be enough!
Funny, my husband is Indonesian and never gets bitten, he says that's because the mozzies prefer 'imported' blood LOL...so I'm hoping maybe they'll leave my son alone too...but not counting on it!
