Perhaps having a little bit of art training has helped me to see the beauty in all shapes and sizes. I can remember an art class where the younger students were horrified and revolted to be told we had to draw a nude pregnant woman. They said pregnancy is ugly. By the time that class was over, not one of those students saw a pregnant woman as ugly. They enjoyed drawing every beautiful curve.
Same with skinny models who have every bone sticking out. Lovely to draw those lines too.
