amongst Europeans of both genders. Different, that is, from Aussies and British. They wander around the beach topless and/or in a thong if they want to no matter what their body type or age. I don't think they do it as a "Look at me aren't I beautiful" sort of thing but rather because it is normal run of the mill behaviour for them in their country.
In Australia we seem to have an expectation that only the beautiful and very definitely only the slim should show their bodies.
I don't have an opinion either way on the rights of it all. Unto each his own, I think. This is just an observation. I am also not talking about what is culturally appropriate or not in Indonesia. I have,however, a feeling that the European attitude may be healthier than own.
