I would expect and hope that my Japanese friends would make me sushi, Italian friends to make pasta and Mexican amigos might throw a few enchiladas together.
Take some good snags from here - make up a batch of rissoles and buy either some NZ chops there - buy mince there too.
Throw together a couple of salads- i would take some spuds and make a potato bake or salad.
Does it sound too daggy. I am only thinking of you giving them something different.
Perhaps you could take an electric fry pan and cook a baked dinner.
