firstly tap all the wooden/basket things you buy on the ground outside the hotel room on the tiles and you will see if any "dust" comes out, then get a large plastic bag and you probably will get plenty of them LOL and spray insect repelant into the bag tie up and leave for at least three to four days, that should kill anything i.e. borers etc that may be in the wood. I had once placement out of 14 that had crawlies in it and the customs officer did exactly that for me at the airport which was very nice of him. He told me to always do that before I return and never had the problem again.
