Have stayed there 5 times in 2 years.
Great location, smack bang in the middle of Kuta (literally.
Away from it all, but close to every thing.
Staff great- we go for business and staff are very trustworthy and helpful (in 14 trips over 20 years never had a problem anywhere i've stayed for that matter) food good - and yes you can eat at both motel and cottages for breakfast, although at Hotel its bufffet, and cottages menu.
Just be careful with some taxi, as some dont like to manouver(sic) JL Benesari to get there.
The surrounding lanes (gangs) are a maze of shortcuts that lead you to Kuta Square, JL Melasti, JL Legian in no time.

Last trip we decided to stay elsewhere, simply because most of our business is in the Legian/Seminyak area and found we had to do alot of unnecessary backtracking to A/D.
Plan on staying at Puri Raja in February.

They also try to hold a dinner and show if the hotel/cottages are resonably full. Buffet style meal and show is made up of traditional dance, music and cockfighting demonstation and sometimes a bit of audience participation - its quiet a fun night and worth the $12? (cant remember exact cost)
