I was in Bali with a friend for 2 weeks in June, and we used our credit cards several times. On 19th of December I noticed that $3700 had been put on my card the previous day, from Indonesia. I checked with my friend and an attempt had been made to place an amount on her card too, but her bank picked it up before it could happen. My card was cancelled and I now have to go through the rigmarole of filling out forms etc, which have not arrived from the bank as yet. I have used my credit card in Bali before without any problems, but I don't think I will be again.
