I have had my card copied twice at one particular chain of hotels in Bali. The last time being in 2000. I use my credit card only at hotels now if I have to - but prefer to pay cash. When my card was copied - it did take a few months before fraudulent transactions would show - however if you are worried, then maybe cancel it and get it reissued - better to be safe than sorry.
