We have stayed at the dynasty twice a year for the last 4 years. Our children are 4 and 7 and absoloutely love it. I can't comment on the Patra as I haven't stayed there. We have however stayed at numerous other hotel's but we still prefer the Dynasty when travelling with children.
The only room type that has 2 rooms facing the pool are the ground floor executive suites. if you look on the bali dynasty website you will find a map of the layout of the hotel where you can see the location of all the differant rooms types. lots of the rooms are interconnection so you could always get 2 rooms.
The babysitters at the dynasty are wonderful - very trustworthy.
