Hi Bob,
We stayed there last November.
Our room was lovely, crisp and clean. Had front private courtyard and rear open bathroom. Had a TV and fridge and air cond.
We only stayed there 2 nights and definitely didnt develop any rapport with any staff, actually the breakfast staff were not one bit friendly. We would stay there again, if we couldnt get into Tegal Sari.
The location is terrific with lots of lovely restaurants within a few metres either way. The market is a pleasant walk and in the opposite direction so is the Monkey Forest.
