Here is just some ideas. Many people in Bali decide to hire a driver for the day. I think the price is about 350-400,000 Indonesian Rupiah a day. For that, they basically take you wherever you want to go. I have been on about 4-5 of these tours with different drivers and I hve enjoyed all of them. I have not hard any problems with finding drivers when in Bali.
However, I am sure there would be some not so good drivers in Bali. So you may wish to ask the forum for some suggestions for drivers in contact. I should probably ask the same as I am going to Bali on Tuesday and a couple of good drivers have been suggested to me. It all depends on what you want to do.
If you want to be with an organised tour company, that is fine. I just dont have much expierence in it. Also, with your own driver is you dont want to some something but do something else (ie I went to a Bjuddist Monestary instead of the hot springs) they can do this on the way up there. Also, the price may be slightly higher than what I quoted above as there is a lot of driving on this tour.
