Just remembered. Melati only has 4 cottages w/ air conditioning. You will most likely want AC the first nite. Next door to Melati is the Dewa Bharata cottages (Ubud), stayed there for USD 18 with AC, nice room. Equally good. Stay at either place first nite, then launch a look see to determine when to lodge for the balance of your trip. www.dewabharatahotels_com
