You will get the regular stops from police checking for general traffic violations, but also at this time of year there are more police out on the streets than usual. Also around public areas such as malls, churchs etc etc.
Usually other than the regular checks, they will also check inside cars and trucks to check for "unwanted" things such as bombs etc etc..
I have been pulled over serval times in Jakarta in the last couple of weeks, (late at night) for these now "routine xmas inspections"
