some men are lazy, some are not - doesn't matter where they come from. What they need is a good wife to whip them into shape.
But seriously, no doubt there are some Caucasians married to Indonesian men or women where the Indonesian thought they were marrying into an easy life - which turned out not to be the case. Just as many make a go of things and the opportunities they may not have otherwise had (education, trades, employment, etc). It is really up to the individual and I don't believe it is particular to Balinese or any other peoples.
