a few years ago whilst out on a trip with our Balinese friend John he said that many tourists end up in JAIL because of accidents on bikes and cars! He said that some police are very strict with tourists who disobey their laws. I wouldn't do anything overseas that I would not do at home, like I would not drive here without a licence so why do it in Bali??
