Yes,the bintang supermarket is in walking distance from the MBR.
If you come out of the hotel, turn right, go past bamboo corner,with four seasons hotel on your right, walk straight ahead down the laneway,walk past putri bali day spa, turn either left or right, and it brings you out onto Legian street.Turn left and keep walking till you come to Bintang Supermarket.
We always stay at the MBR and walk to the Bintang every couple of days.They open at 7.30am and close around 10.00pm apart from Friday when they open a little later and close earlier.
It takes us about 15 to 20 mins to walk there, but we go early in the morning before it gets to hot and not much trafic around.Next dorr to the Bintang is a phone shop where you can get sim cards for your phone, they will put the sim card in your phone for you and set it up for you, next door to the phone shop is a little bread shop, they have nice rolls and cakes.
