I know you didn't mention tiered marketing - you have missed my point - perhaps you have reading difficulties? 3 prices? Rubbish - why do you think travel agents deal with wholesalers? Because they get a better rate for selling a lot of occupancy nights maybe? If not why wouldn't individual travel agents just book directly with the hotel?
What the hell has 5 people staying in a room that costs $17 A NIGHT AND USING THE FAN BUT NOT THE AC, then threatening to defame them got to do with asking for a discount?
I agree, poor form but just a little off topic.
People requesting and receiving discounts is obviously not just a perception because this forum is littered with stories of such and advice about how to go about this.
I too have seen arrogant people from certain countries treat local bali people poorly - but all this lady did was ask how to go about achieving a discounted price - not complain about not receiving one.
