keep chewing on the same bone.

My comments yesterday were not about the odd spelling mistake but a mail which was an insult to the intelligence of almost anyone over the age of nine.
How could an Indonesian be expected to deal with rubbish like that and if your English is that bad why not respect the language and the reader by using a spell check? Is that really too much to ask?

You persist with the notion that I own a hotel. (I guess that's part of your dogged nature) Have certainly have stayed in a few and abhor the double standards I so often observe.

You also keep going on about this multi-tired marketing. I never mentioned it and most hotels in the price range the poster was after usually have only three prices. The price they want, the price they give to the agent, which includes commission and the walk in price if they are not full. This may involve a discount. In smaller hotels if they don't like the look of you or your attitude the price won't change.

Was in a hotel in Amed last year which advertised rooms from $17.00.
A group of 5 people from a country I will not mention arrived and said they would take it.

The manager explained that for $17 they could use the fan only and not the a/c. That was fine but the problem started when the group expected extra beds to be moved so that all 5 could stay in the same room.

They left using language inappropriate for any public place with a promise to post bad reports on various forums.

Naturally this was too much for me so I waded into the fray with a few suggestions of my own, which included a request to return from whence they came, try the same tricks there and see how long it took for the coppers to arrive.

I have heard a variation on these themes for years and it's not only about the way these people perceive business to be done here.

Arrogant Colonial attitudes have no place and get right up my nose.

I have no objection to asking for a discount where appropriate, but I do take objection to some illiterate complaining because her request for discount over the net wasn't complied with. Why should it?
