Intersting commentary, to be sure. We can but speculate on how many seat sales Garuda has thrown to the wind by its bewildering decision to completely dump Adelaide, Brisbane and Auckland from its inventory. Whilst it's fully understandable that commercial practicality must prevail, the volatility of the Bali travel market in the short term is such that things could, and did, suddenly change. To recapture what it as handed over to its competitors will cost Garuda several times what it would have cost to simply ride out the tough spot.
