The guy isn't really so far off the mark is he? Internal tourism to Bali is high but really only a small proportion visit Bars or restaurants serving European food.
Many Indonesians don't drink for religious or other reasons and most of the 150 odd million who live on Java island (so may at some time or another visit Bali) have not had the opportunity to develop a taste for western food.
How many times do we go to restaurants with Indonesian friends who invarably order Indonesian dishes or seafood rather than unfamiliar western dishes?
While I accept that most of the Indonesians you know personally "love their bars and come to Bali " especially to go to all the clubs and bars" that is not the reason most internal tourists visit the island.
Western tourists who come to Bali "especially" to go to bars and nightclubs are a minority too.
Having travelled quite extensively in Java I find the statement "The Javanese "love their bars" a huge generalisation which would not stand even cursory scrutiny.
Methinks the pot is making racial comments about the kettle!
