Do yourself a big favour and this goes for everyone. Tell your bank you are going overseas. I had the unfortunate experience when my credit was cut off. It was my last day but was embarrassing when I tried to buy something at Mata haris. I then tried to buy a pair of nikes, again my card was not excepted. But my husbands was.I was pretty pissed off with my bank. The explanation from my bank was we didn't know you were in Bali. Since then I've made sure my NEW Bank knows where I am. It seems that when the transaction was put through the LIPPO bank was having problems. Don't bother with travellers cheques we couldn't get anyone to change them a couple of years ago. Take cash and credit card.
