We've been going for over 13 years, and drive all the time, its really no big deal as everyone makes out! You pick it up after 10 minutes the small give way to the big, and use the horn as much as you need. We're there 29th sept to 18th Oct and driving to Ubud and then Lovina with our 6 year old, have got a booster seat for him to be on the safe side, apart from that happy driving, it gives you the freedom you need to see the "real Bali".
