Getting small timber display made.

Can anyone recommend a good carver/furniture-maker able to make good quality, custom timber display stands around the size of a bread box?

Also any reccommendations on wood type ie. less susceptible to pests and cracking and I guess what to seal/treat it with either in Bali or at home in Australia.

Not large amounts by the way 5 perhaps 10 stands at the most.
