scooters last June for 3 weeks but only used them around the Kuta area. We did go up to Lovina but hired a driver for that as the trip is long and roads quite slippery in the mountain. Hubby even went to Sanur in taxi's (for kite surfing) as he didnt really want to ride the scooters out in the open so to speak. We were very careful on them and took international drivers licences but I still would only ride them around the kuta area not game enough to go to Ubud on them heheh. We paid 30,000 per day for them it was great fun but do be very careful and remember you are not covered with insurance. We found the Kuta area safe as traffic is slow anyway but once out on the open road traffic goes faster and didnt feel safe on them........have fun cheers Trace
