My opinion - if its slower than me, weaker than me or dumber than me - then pass the salt.

Not really fair to characterize people who take part in this as it has been part of the culture there forever - you would just grow up thinking it is ok. I doubt whether a community with the socio-economic standards of Bali would place a lot of importance on animal welfare.

Viewing it is not supporting the practise either - so I don't really see the problem.
