and also will enable you to hopefully recover some of what you have lost due to GA's untimely departure from Brisbane. I know it certainly wasn't of Suranto's making - just like the crazy "politically inspired" PER/JKT services with no spare seats on domestic JKT/DPS connections!
I can only hope that someone soon realises the commercial viability of a twice-weekly 737-800 (or similar) service ADL/DPS. I am sure I had a "guardian angel" on my shoulder when I made the decision to close Golden Bali and move to live in Indonesia. From my "Jungle Paradise" here in North Sulawesi with consistent 100% occupancies at the Resort,Garuda's "follies" are just nightmares from the past.
As an "aside" but still "Bali-related", if anybody complains about Jetstar, they should be made endure just ONE Lion Air Flight! NO service - sad-faced, unfriendly and "robotic" Stewardesses (suppose if you put your personnel in plastic shoes you can't expect great enthusiasm) - ALWAYS late (in fact it is considered a real bonus if a flight actually departs/arrives on time). The "highlight" of a Lion Air Flight is an "in-flight raffle draw" with the prizes - TWO OF THEM IN TOTAL for 120+ passengers packed like sardines in a tin - being A FREE SNACK!! Others get a small "Aqua Glass" (warm) literally tossed at them and no chance to even BUY anything on board. Just to top it off, my recent DPS/MDC flight with Lion was more expensive than my MDC/DPS flight with Garuda, with its full-service, great legroom and warm Indonesian Smiles.
