Just finished writing my brief report above and noticed your question. I dived with Eco-Dive (on the Liberty wreck and the wall at Tulamben) as a novice, only having completed my PADI course in May and had one dive since. I was diving with a friend who is a very experienced diver. When I told them I was a novice, they assigned an extra dive master to accompany me. Very impressed with safety attitudes, equipment etc. They were also operating PADI courses at Amed. Don't have contact details but just google "eco-dive Amed" and you'll find their website. Good luck, there's great diving in Bali.
