On our last trip, I was going to buy some fruit from one of the kids that carry's it on his head, I had a look and wanted two pieces, I wasn't buying it to eat it was to be thrown out I had already asked the price before picking,child said some ridiculius price and I told him no that isn ot what he told me and I said to him this is the amount of money I have which was enough in the first place, I said I don't want it and he told me very nastily to f*** off then, never again will I try to be empathetic or whatever, it is such a shame that this is the memory I came home with, the balinese people have never been anything but lovely to us, this is something I stewed on for a very long time I guess I jusut couldn't believe the rudeness it was like I owed him something he had a huge chip on his shoulder maybe, disrespectful i still makes me cranky to this day, my husband couldn't believe I just stood and said nothing I think I was in shock, just as well for this kid I know that there are many lovley other people there and look forward to going back and taking our kids in November!!!
