For all the do gooders and kind hearts you need to read more posts about this subject from people that travel requarly to bali.Noone is saying all beggars are not for real but balinese think poorly of anyone who wont try to get some work.Ive seen many who will come to a restaurant and pick up rubbish out front or start sweeping just to let the owners know they want to work for some money.As for using children sorry but they do that, give them some money see how fast(as we would)they run to the nearest store and buy food and water for their children(sorry they dont)please open your eyes everyone talk to your indonesian friends they will tell the real story to you and then you can understand for yourself its not selfish or heartless to say no if it means they realise exploting the children,elderly,disabled dosnt work anymore!!!
